The aircraft produced by Green Tech Aerospace use significantly quieter electric motors than the jet ones used by conventional aircraft with a similar payload and this means that the noise pollution associated with the flight is considerably lower
The LTA aircraft for freight transport that will be produced by Green Tech Aerospace have VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) capabilities and consequently do not require airport infrastructures, thus being able to operate even in the most remote areas of the planet
The airline will be a Certified Air Operator according to the EASA rules of the European Union and will follow current and future regulations for the management of LTA aircraft.
The Airline will elect Grottaglie airport as its base and will also set up a flight school for airship pilots.
Flight operations will begin for licensing reasons with the use of Airbus 320 for hire (WET LEASE) from other non-European operators.
From the third year the airships produced by GREEN TECH AEROSPACE will be added to the fleet. And then the airship has the enormous advantage of not needing infrastructure: in fact it does not need an airport being able (as are the models of the Atlant and SkyLifter series) to take off and land vertically, to be autonomous for the loading and unloading of goods and do not need a ground crew for anchoring to the ground, they have great autonomy.
But the real advantage of the airships will be to be able to modify the very concept of logistics allowing, precisely due to the ability to operate without the need for infrastructure, to eliminate various phases of the transport of goods, thus obtaining a faster and cheaper handling of goods than that. today.
The SkyLifter Company is a British company founded in 2010.
Over the years it has developed the idea of a new LTA aircraft with a complete “green” concept, capable of carrying loads of various tonnages in “crane” mode.
The project is in the testing phase of the component parts of the final aircraft.
The most important novelty is the choice of solar energy as the only source of power installed on board. This makes the aircraft capable of flying with no flight duration limitations.
The development of the project arrived at the beginning of the prototyping stage of the model.
The models that will be produced will have payload capacities of 2 (Rover) and 25 (SL25) tons of load in “crane” mode.
